Monks Eleigh Bygone Collectors Club Rally 2008

Gt Waldingfield Suffolk

The Rally is now in its ninth year and is still growing steadily with something for everyone, a very friendly atmosphere and a superb Saturday nights entertainment in the beer tent. The weather was not too bad until we had quite a downpour on Saturday night but that soon passed through.

This Year the top entrance was opened avoiding the need to drive the length of the runway which was welcome from the Exhibiters perspective.

Yet again, I was pleased to see a good turn out of young Stationary engine enthusiasts who worked on and ran their engines constantly all weekend and put on a good show.

The entertainment in the ring was excellent and once again we were enthralled by the death defying stunts of the "Flying Fergies" who, this year added fire to the display which soon had the Fire trucks in the ring to make sure everything (and everybody) was suitably damped down.

Further entertainment in the Beer tent was provided by the "Monks Eleigh Choir" see below for some of the sites during the Rally.
