My Land Rover Discovery and
Bailey Senator Arizona Caravan
I bought The Land Rover in Sept 2000 as my last car ( a 1998 Jaguar V8 Sport) was not very suitable for Rallying. I could only get a small engine such as the BSA and a pump in the boot.
The Discovery allows me to transport larger engines such as Listers or Wolseleys to shows. I have made up a board to go in the back which will take an engine and a pump. At the back of the board, I have fitted an electric winch running off the car battery. The board has a hinged section at the back, which folds down over the bumper, and the ramps hook on to this to winch the engine into the back.
We bought a Bailey Pageant Champagne in August 2005 to replace the 1997 Elddis Hurricane 2 berth which we had for around six years. It is a 4 berth and gives us a little extra room.
Having been pleased with the Pageant and faced with a deal we could not refuse we bought a Senator Arizona series 5 in 2007
I have since carried out a number of "Modifications" to suit our needs (hmm, about 26 so far).
