Kent Steam Rally
Kent County Showground, Detling
This was the first time we attended this Rally (we were the only Stationary engine exhibitors from Suffolk) and in my opinion, this is second only to Barlylands of the Rallies we attend.
It had more autojumble stalls than any Rally I have attended, and the same can be said of classic cars and motorbikes. There were not that many Steam Engines or Military vehicles but still enough for those interested in them.
There were also a great many stalls, and around 100 Stationary engines, all in all, a great Rally.
Unfortunatly, I left it until Sunday to take pics, and the weather turned a bit bad so I took a few and waited for it to get better but of course it didn't so I never got around to going out again with the camera.
Sorry, just had to prove the old girl is still running.
Rob, pondering, note barbie getting wet as usual.
A couple of Amancos, the air cooled one on the left is 1927 and fully resored, the other is dated 1918 and as found.
A beautifully restored Ruston Hornsby
