BSA Power Unit

I purchased the BSA from a Friend of mine (Rob Vince, who first introduced me to Stationary Engines).

These Engines were mainly used to drive Horticultural equipment, this Engine is thought to be around 1 1/2 HP and was probably manufactured around 1958/9

It is a Sidevalve 4 stroke and still has the original sticker on the side that states that it is a power unit as opposed to a motorcycle or lawnmower engine.

As my previous car (a Jaguar V8 Sport ) was not capable of taking a large Engine to Rallies, the BSA was extremely useful to display as it was easy to transport. I have since changed the Jag. for a new Discovery to enable me to exhibit the larger engines in the 2001 Rally season.
