Aldham Olde Tyme Rallye 2007
This years Aldham Old Tyme Rally started, for us anyway
with torrential rain when we set up on Friday morning however it soon turned hot and dry,
and actually stayed mainly hot which
makes a change as it is normally cold and wet, especially when we pack up on
Sunday afternoon.
Once again there were a large number of exhibitors and a
large Military presence including once again some huge trucks which I meant to
get some pictures of but somehow I did not get around to it.
The auction on Saturday afternoon had an enormous number of
lots although for a second year nothing took my fancy however there was one
interesting lot which was a motorised tricycle used in France for selling
flowers from. This wanted an enormous amount of work to restore but still made
over £700.
Once again our hosts the North East Essex Tractor & Engine Club
and the Earls Colne Scout and Guide Group held a well organised and enjoyable
Rally.
There was a good variety of engines with one or two
unusual ones, however a number featured in last Weeks Woolpit report so I have
picked some that I have not photographed this year.
